Back by popular demand, architectural preservationist James DeGrazia will present our next Historic Preservations Series on some of the lost graceful and magnificent mansions and buildings along Meridian Street. His talk – Memories of Meridian Street—from Monument Circle to Tinker Street – takes place on Wednesday, February 26 at 7 PM.
James appreciates quality architecture and design from all eras and is especially passionate about historical architecture. A native of Valparaiso, Indiana, James earned his master’s degree in architecture from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and has devoted years to researching 19th century architecture throughout Indiana. An avid preservationist, James is currently restoring a home in Madison, Indiana built in 1846 and a home in Attica, Indiana built in 1876. In their down time, James and his wife Rebecca enjoy taking day trips and learning about the histories of towns and cities throughout the Midwest.
